Well I certainly wasn’t expecting to write this anytime soon!
M4J_Media is proud to announce a partnership with Hatfield Town Football Club. As part of the partnership, M4J will become the official gaming partner of Hatfield Town FC, through the Hatfield Town Football Manager series on the M4J_Gaming YouTube channel. This will see the real life Hatfield Town players and staff recreated in the game, attempting to climb through the leagues to ultimately reach the Premier League.
As well as being the gaming partner of the club, I have also accepted the roles of both editor and Director of Media. This means I’ll be assisting the club with matchday programmes, social media content, website improvements and any other media based work that needs doing. Keep an eye out as well for some potential M4J related Hatfield Town merchandise in the near future!
On a personal level, this is huge for me. I’ve been playing as Hatfield Town on Football Manager for a number of years now, but never did I imagine the club would take notice and contact me. It’s always been a life goal of mine to one day be involved with a football club, so the fact that I have now teamed up with a well-established and very well-run club just yards from where I’ve grown up is a huge honour for me. This is truly the start of something big, and I’d like to thank John Shearer at Hatfield Town for getting in touch and making this happen.
So this year’s Hatfield Town save, what will be new? Well as stated above, this year I want true realism. Therefore I will be adding all current playing and coaching staff to the game, in order to accurately represent the team. I will also be using the authentic Hatfield Town kits for the first time in a Hatfield save. I’ve said a few times the kit this season looked amazing, so to see it in the game will be incredible. Like last year, there will be larger focus on youth development, trying to get the club to be self-sufficient through the selling of bright young prospects. I will also for the first time be focusing more on my own training programs, as well as scouting and player development. After all, this is meant to be a more realistic run, I can’t just sit back and let others do all the hard work!
Regarding the channel, there will now obviously be a lot more Football Manager content coming very soon! Fear not, all other series will remain unchanged, but as soon as this year’s database is released by Dan I’ll be hitting the ground running and beginning arguably the best Hatfield Town run I’ve ever started.
I look forward to you all joining the ride with me this year, this is the start of a new era for M4J and I want you all there!
Thanks everyone, and until next time I will see you soon!
